For centuries these two Golden Horn neighbourhoods were home to Greek, Jewish and Armenian communities. Besides stepped streets and colourful houses, you'll find the Ecumenical Patriarchate, the iron-built Bulgarian St. Stephen Church and the red-brick Phanar Greek Orthodox College.
